Mocktails and Dreams

Each summer, Junior Achievement gathers students from across Colorado for Business Week. This year we donated our services to photograph the kids during a few of their activities. We met with each of the companies they created and got to attend a “mocktail” reception teaching the students all about networking and a dinner focused on etiquette. Needless to say I learned quite a bit from these kids.

Wild Wild Dress

Following the wedding we went ridin’ and ropin’ at JJ and Tony’s Wild Wild West Trash the Dress Session. Any woman who can wear boots and her full wedding dress on a horse is okay by me.

LOVEland

After photographing JJ and Tony’s engagement portraits complete with belt buckles and cowboy hats we were so excited to go to their wedding. They had a great Country style wedding in, apropos named-Loveland. Rarely will you meet a couple so kind and open as JJ and Tony. It was an amazing day.

The Theorie of Flight

Next week FLY Magazine goes to print for the first time. To celebrate FLY hosted a pre-launch party at Club Theorie in LoDo.

This Saturday I get to be a bridesman at my best friend’s wedding. It will the first time I have been to a wedding in over two years where I am not behind the camera-what a change. Question for this week is:

This Sunday was our first shoot as the photographers for a new magazine focused on urban music, culture, and fashion in Denver-FLY.


Launching in June of this year FLY will feature some of the most cutting-edge content applicable to a wide variety of Denver residents.

East Egg Elegance

When we first met Alicia, she described her wedding as a classic throwback to the 1920’s elegance of The Great Gatsby.


I think she and her now husband Marshall were exactly right. Their wedding this weekend captured the timeless elegance of the best of life and love. The ceremony itself was touching and hilarious. I have never laughed so much at a wedding as I did during theirs.


The ceremony was just a precursor to the wild party filled with amazing music and good-hearted people. I spent half of the reception draped in the shawl and sun glasses of one of Alicia’s sorority sisters, but what could I do, the poor girl was hot. By the time we left, we felt as thought we had been transported back to East Egg and enjoyed the revelry and merriment that would have made Daisy and Nick green with envy.
