Brazzil

Meka and I are always donating services to non-profit charity functions. Recently a woman from an import company-Brazzil Arts purchased a photography session to showcase some new products. Brazzil Arts imports jewelry, handbags, and other accessories made my artisans in Brazil from 100% recycled newspaper that is lacquered and woven or strung. It is some wild work that we were so glad to be a part of.

Hard Rock

I visited my first Hard Rock Cafe during a high school trip to Florida and I loved every minute of it. It was so amazing to go back to a restaurant I had loved as a child but to this time be working for them. Hard Rock Cafe purchased photographs we had taken of their restaurant to use with their website. The marketing manager was a real pleasure to work with and gave me an amazing tour of the whole place and pointing out some amazing rock memorabilia, much of it tied to Red Rocks. The photos turned out wonderfully.

The Book of Love

As soon as it was announced that Libeskind was designing the new addition to the Denver Art Museum, we knew we had to do E-photos there. A fun-spirited couple, Wendy and David were up for it. Not only did they want to shoot downtown by the Art Museum and the library, but they wanted to do it after dark. We went out on a Sunday night and had an amazing time.

Wild Wild West

Before the sun was up Saturday, Meka and I piled into the Hybrid with our usual suspects-the four bags of photography equipment we bring along for any shoot. We trotted out to Cherry Creek State Park where the reservoir was. It was like old times because Meka and I had considered it for our wedding. There we met Jennifer and Tony a couple filled with spunk and country charm. We carted all over the park doing some great photos celebrating their upcoming engagement. They were so fun to work with were really playful and up for anything. Their wedding is going to be a blast.

9News

We're going back to our journalism roots and have been working for 9News (the Denver NBC station). they are launching a new website called MetroMix and we have been hired to handle photography for them. It's been an amazing but crazy experience working with local restaurants, bars, and other locals to photograph their venues for the upcoming site. I'll post more when its up.

The Last Session

The Theatre Group is launching a new production entitled The Last Session this week and asked Meka and I to come and do the press photography. The actors and director were so much fun to work with. We got free reign over the stage and were able to get some really fun an unusual angles. The story, what we got of it sounds fascinating and if you are around, I highly recommend you check it out. http://theatregroup.org/

The company used the photos for their marketing materials and our images showed up on the Denver Post website and in the paper. Takes me back to my old days photographing for Historic Denver. http://www.denverpost.com/theater/ci_8630837
